DRAMATIC GROWTH AT CENTURUS COLLEGES IN 2010
Thirty percent growth shows schools not affected by recessionary trends

The Centurus Colleges family of schools: Pecanwood College, Tyger Valley College and Southdowns College have, proved since their inception that there is an ever increasing demand for schooling of quality in the greater Pretoria area.

While the Johannesburg Stock Exchange shows an average growth of 6.7% among its listed companies in the past year Centurus Colleges schools have shown a thirty percent growth in pupil numbers from grade 000 to grade 12 across the three schools. Centurus Colleges CEO Jack Prentice says: “Our group is extremely gratified to have contributed to the demand for independent schooling of excellence in new and growing communities. To have grown from a small group of 63 learners in 2006 in Broederstroom to our present number of nearly 2000 over the greater Pretoria area is really spectacular!”

The employment of two hundred teachers of quality over the past five years from many major schools in the Pretoria/Johannesburg area and across southern Africa has proved that the Centurus model is extremely attractive to professional educators. Applications for posts have been received from as far afield as Libya and Moscow!
